The work around swifts is not only connected with a lot of time commitment, but also with considerable driving effort.
At the Swift Clinic, patients from all over Germany and neighboring countries are treated. Often the finder has no way to bring the swift in need of help to the clinic in Frankfurt/Main. This is where our - always expandable - network of courier drivers becomes active.
Do you frequently travel across Germany? Perhaps even regularly on a certain route that takes you through Frankfurt? Do you want to do something good without much effort? Then have yourself added to our courier list. We will contact you when a swift from your area needs to be transported to the clinic. You arrange a meeting point with the finder, e.g., at their home or at your departure train station, where you pick up the swift.
Do you live in the greater Frankfurt area? A large portion of our patients still comes from the Rhine-Main region and adjacent regions. Accordingly, we need a denser network of courier drivers who can shoulder these short-distance transports. In this case too, you are cordially invited to have yourself added to our courier list.
To avoid misunderstandings, here is another reminder that this form of assistance is also a volunteer activity. The German Society for Swifts (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Mauersegler e.V.) does not have the financial resources to reimburse travel costs or even time spent. We ask for your understanding.
