Flight Training

Regular flying in the clinic's training room is an important part of the treatment our feathered patients receive. The exercise promotes blood circulation and prevents the joints from "seizing up" in patients who have to stay with us for a longer period. Together with occasional wing massages, flight training forms the physiotherapeutic part of the treatment. In addition, observing a bird's flight and general condition also serves diagnostic purposes, so the flight trainers have a very important and responsible task – yet one that is comparatively easy to learn.

Particular requirements: patience, love of animals, empathy
Time required: approx. 4 hrs/week, depending on how busy the centre is
