Feeding swifts is complicated and time-consuming compared to other bird species. Therefore, especially in peak season, when the clinic is (over-)occupied with up to 150 birds, this is probably the most extensive area of activity that the Swift Clinic has to fulfill. Distributing this work across as many shoulders as possible is a challenge every year - and you can help.
However, you should be interested in a longer-term commitment, as it takes some time before the feeding technique and all the tricks and knacks come easily.
Special requirements: Stress resistance, love of animals, sensitivity
Time required: The feeding day is divided into 7 so-called "rounds", which depending on clinic occupancy are taken over by one or more feeding helpers and take about 2 hours/round. You decide which rounds on which days you can take over.
Location: Swift Clinic, Frankfurt am Main-Griesheim
